Our Story

Velocity Home Lifts was founded in 2015 by John and James Garrett, two brothers passionate about helping fellow Australians enjoy mobility and independence in their homes. What began as a humble electrical solutions business run out of their garage has now grown into one of Sydney’s premier home lift companies.

Over the past 10 years, Velocity Home Lifts has stayed true to the Garretts’ commitment to innovation, reliability and professionalism. We take pride in designing, manufacturing and installing high-quality Australian-made lifts tailored specifically for residential settings. Our experienced team handles every project with care, paying close attention to safety and customer service.

Excited to be using my new Iconic lift in Wagga Wagga. It is good looking, quiet and smooth. From the first contact by phone, through a site visit at their showroom in Sydney to the installation, all staff and management John and James, took the utmost care to make sure I knew the process and then delivered fully on every promise. Builders Chris and Shane were outstanding craftsmen and installers Anthony and Dillon were excellent. I can now stay in my home and fully recommend them to anyone having difficulty with stairs or building a new home.

The team from Velocity Home Lifts are like a well-oiled machine. The entire operation from beginning to end, flowed smoothly. All personnel I dealt with filled me with confidence with their knowledge and expertise. Communication was excellent , either by email, phone or face-to-face.
